Salman breaks the record for most kisses received

Salman Khan attempted to break a record for most kisses received on the hand in a minute on Guiness World Records -- Ab India Todega. The previous record for the stunt was set by an actor from Japan who received 87 kisses. To break this record, Sallu was joined by 25 young girls who were thrilled to have the opportunity to kiss the superstar. They managed to kiss him 108 times in a minute, breaking the Guinness world record! Maybe Salman should now star in the male version of Katrina's famous song -- Zara Zara Kiss Me Kiss Me. Wot say?

I'm ready to share my income with Bollywood workers: Salman Khan

Bollywood star Salman Khan, also known as the Hindi film industry's enfant terrible, says he wants to help workers in filmdom by sharing his income and also work for the underprivileged in society. "Right now, I want to give a percentage of my earnings from the film that I will start to workers of the film industry, " Salman told, adding the amount is not fixed yet. "It can be half of the remuneration; it can be one percent." "Even if everyone gives half a percent (of their remuneration), it will be huge money. "The government takes 30 percent from (the industry) plus the entertainment tax. Where does it (money) go, I don't know. I know that the money, whatever small percentage we give, should go to the workers in the film industry, " said the actor who gave two back-to-back hits with "Wanted" and "Dabangg". The 45-year-old actor says he will first strategise his initiative and then take action. "I have to sit with all the heads of the (film workers') associations and find out where the maximum amount of money is required. And the money would go there, " said Salman whose "Ready" will hit the screens June 3. Directed by Anees Bazmee, "Ready" is a remake of a Telugu comedy of the same name and also stars Asin Thottumkal who teamed up with him in "London Dreams". The actor's life has been dotted with legal troubles and other unpleasant incidents - if he was involved in a hit-and-run case and blackbuck killing, he has also been known for picking up fights with fellow actor Shah Rukh Khan and allegedly hitting his girlfriends.  But it seems now Salman has left them behind and set his sights on noble causes. In fact, he says he will mix work with social work by utilising some time and money for underprivileged people while promoting a film.  "I haven't started publicising the film ('Ready') as yet. The way I will promote it is being finalised. Now the new funda has come up that you need 15 days to promote a film. Whenever these 15 days come, I will make sure there are 15 to 20 places where I can go and help those people under Being Human and come back, " said Salman referring to his NGO Being Human.  "When I go to these places, I would see who needs money and help. This money will not go to the administration. It will go directly to those kids who need it. Two or three operations will happen every day. When you go out for something like this, let's not waste time by just smiling. That's the biggest fraudulent act one can ever do, " he said.  The actor has planned to reserve a sum of the promotional budget to accomplish his charity work and hopes other actors will catch on. "You are going to special children, underprivileged children, cancer patients and giving just a smile. What after that? I hope people, after me, catch up to this one thing and hope there is a competition on how much charity they do while going for the promotion of their film. Instead of spending the money on promos, PRs and all that stuff, let the money go into the country, " said Salman.

Is Sallu the sexiest?

A soon-to-be-launched channel is coming up with a show called Bollywood's Sexiest Bachelor.  The channel folk tried to woo Salman Khan to appear on the show. But the hero did not seem interested. During Ready's music launch, when he was asked how it felt to be the numero uno sexiest bachelor, Sallu retorted, "I will soon be minus one!"  Does that mean the sexiest bachelor in Bollywood is ready to vacate his bachelor throne? Salman 'Ladies Only' Bash with Asin and Zarine

At the music release of Ready on Monday evening Zarine Khan clung to Salman's side with single-minded determination while the film's leading lady Asin maintained a discreet distance happy to let Ms Khan (who has only a guest appearance in the film) be the superstar's arm-candy for the evening.  Everyone knows Salman Khan was in his element at the music release of Ready on Monday evening at Film City. But the actual fun began after the music release when Salman decided to have an impromptu bash in his pad that has been put up for him at Film City for the shooting of his brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri's Bodyguard.  Asin and Zarine Khan immediately accompanied Salman to his very private den. But the interesting part of the spontaneous party was that Salman invited only the ladies at the venue.  The men were largely left out.  Says a source, "After the music release Salman suddenly announced it was party time at his Bodyguard pad which is inside the Film City premise.  Zarine Khan was by his side and Asin was a safe distance away. They both accompanied him to his pad for the party. Strangely all the female members of the Ready cast—and there are at least 15-18 prominent female characters in the film—were asked to join the party while their husbands and male companions got left behind.  Salman has formed a superb bonding with all the ladies in the cast. After a while Salman suddenly remembered the husbands and boyfriends waiting somewhere down below and asked the ladies to call them up. Even the Ready director Anees Bazmi just dropped in at the part for five minutes and left. The party continued till the wee hours of Tuesday morning. " When contacted to verify this amusing all-women invitees' list Asin laughed, "Well, it's true. Salman invited all the female actors from Ready. We all went up his very comfortable and large pad with a view.  It has a garden and it has a beautiful view outside. Salman makes a wonderful host. The ladies were all happy to be partying. Suddenly Salman remembered their husbands and invited them too.  It was great fun though I was the odd one out since I don't drink. After a while it gets boring for both me and the others guests to keep wondering why I am not drinking. " Asin is deeply impressed by Salman's bonding with the woman in the cast. "All the ladies who play his aunts and relatives just dote on him. He makes them all feel like part of his extended family. " In fact watching Salman create a family within the unit of Ready has made Asin feel homesick. She is going home.  Says Asin, "I am taking off for Kerala for a couple of weeks. At the moment I've no other Hindi film on hand. So I can afford the time off. " Asin has apparently been offered everything from Anurag Basu's Barfee to Sajid Nadiadwala's Kick. But after films with Aamir, Salman and Ajay Devgn she's at the moment looking at a film with a leading man of her own age group.  Apparently Asin has been offered Sajid Nadiadwala's 2 States with Shah Rukh Khan. I don't want to wear underwear outside, I am Sal-man

Bollywood star Salman Khan has clarified that he is not playing a superhero in Kabir Khan's next.  "I am not doing any superhero film. I don't want to be bit by a spider and become Spiderman. I don't want to wear red underwear outside and become Superman. I just want to be Sal-man, " the 46-year-old wittily said.  The news that was doing the rounds was that Salman will be doing an espionage thriller on the lines of "X-Men" where he will play a spy who also has super abilities that are hidden from others. But the star has labelled this as false.

SRK beware! Salman to turn superhero in Yash Raj Film

Salman Khan to play a spy with super powers in Kabir Khan film. Is he trying to get one-up on his rival, Shah Rukh Khan?  Buzz is that Salman Khan will be playing a spy agent with super powers in Kabir Khan's next. For weeks, there has been speculation surrounding the nature of his role in the film. While producers Yash Raj maintains that the cast isn't in place, a source reveals that Sallu's character is a spy agent with the ability to do superhuman things. Interesting, given that his foe Shah Rukh Khan is playing a super hero in his next Ra.One  Apparently, Khan is looking for fresher roles. When Kabir's film came to him, he was excited because of the superhero angle. A source close to the actor reveals, "The film will be shot all around the world at different locations.  It's an espionage thriller on the lines of X-Men where Salman plays an undercover officer as a spy who also has super abilities that are hidden from others. The film will have a lot of special effects."  At the moment Kabir and Salman are having several meetings regarding the look and nature of this particular character. Kabir Khan refused to confirm on the nature of Salman's role but cheekily said, "Salman is always a superhero!"  While the Yashraj spokesperson maintained, "the cast is not final yet. Katrina Kaif Out, Deepika Padukone In Salman Khan’s Next?

Looks like Katrina Kaif's break up with Salman Khan may be costing her more than she can imagine right now. And Kat's loss is becoming Deepika Padukone's gain.

The story goes that Aditya Chopra and Kabir Khan wanted to cast a young star opposite Salman Khan in the new Yash Raj Films' venture. While Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra were being considered for the role, the list finally was finally narrowed down to Kat and DP. And since Katrina's fall-out with Salman, the actress may bow out of the movie herself.

While the Om Shanti Om girl might be keen to work with Salman, we wonder what's going on in Katrina's mind. She has to deal with rumours of going around with Deepika's ex, Ranbir Kapoor, the aftermath of her break up with Salman and newbie Sonakshi Sinha replacing her in endorsements.

Salman asks Asin to do a Madhuri

Asin gets 'Ready' to play character inspired by Mads' role in Hum Aapke Hain Koun? Asin's resemblance to the Madhuri Dixit of Hum Aapke Hai Koun? in Anees Bazmee's Ready is not coincidental. Her character, costumes and even the choreography are inspired. Sallu's idea The tribute of sorts was Asin's co-star Salman Khan's idea. Khan feels that the Mads of HAHK is the ideal woman, the kind he'd like to take home to his mother. Salman apparently persuaded his director and Bazmi was only too happy to oblige.  Says the director; "There is a lot of Madhuri in Asin's character and presentation. We don't have item songs in Ready but conversational songs woven into the narrative." Asin doesn't deny the likeness of her character to Madhuri. "The resemblance to Madhuri did not escape me. In fact, my first duet with Salman was very much like Hum Aapke Hain Koun?." The climactic wedding song is designed to echo the HAHK hit Didi Tera Devar Deewana.  Asin confirms, "That's true. Is Salman getting close to Kangna now?

Salman Khan rushes through his photoshoot to spend time with Kangna Ranaut on neighbouring sets

Salman Khan is quickly growing fond of Kangna Ranaut yet again and how! He rushed through a promotional shoot for Ready at Mehboob Studios recently to spend time with her.

Notes an eyewitness, "He was taking his own sweet time during the photoshoot with Asin. But when a unit hand came to inform him that Kangna was around, he asked the crew to wrap up the shoot soon so he could go meet her."

Says the source, "He's extremely fond of her. The fact that he was extremely eager to spend time with her on the sets, speaks volumes. She, too, was excited about having him around."

Last week, Sallu had surprised everyone by landing up at Kangs' birthday bash at 4 am! And at Khan's India-Australia match bash, she made merry.

This bond looks like it's here to stay.

Kangna has slowly yet steadily distanced herself from Sanjay Dutt. She used to be a regular part of his wife Maanayata's parties, but of late, has kept away.
